Creative partners, real-life partners and co-hosts for this perfectly imperfect exploration of what it means to be human.

We’ve been through a lot in our 30 years together: career reinventions, family estrangements, personal awakenings, death of siblings, death of our parents, death of dreams, and countless "WTF is happening?" moments that seem to just keep on coming.

This podcast is designed for those of us who have been through the messiness or are sitting in it right now…or both. Our heartfelt mission is to create a community of understanding and conversation. This is a place to get honest about the realities we face with zero judgement and full support.

Welcome!

We don’t pretend to have it all figured out.

We’re just doing the work out loud.

Celia Gannon

Celia is a creative coach, professional voice actor and talent agent. But mostly, she’s someone who is endlessly fascinated by people and the messy, beautiful stories we all carry. At the core of everything she does is this belief: when we speak from our authentic experience - not the shiny polished version - we create space for others to do the same.

That belief inspired Gentle Spark Coaching, where she helps women rediscover themselves, their presence, and their “holy sh*t, I forgot I could do that” mojo. Her engagement style blends artistry with psychology, compassion with clarity, and includes just enough sass to keep things interesting. She holds a M.Ed. with an emphasis in Positive Coaching, which she uses daily in professional conversations, creative work, and in her ongoing mission to help others reclaim their voice.

Celia brings emotional intelligence and a long-standing fascination with the human condition to Zen By Next Weekend. And, a deep hope that she can spare you some of the messy missteps she’s made along the way.

Chris Gannon

Chris is a voice actor, comedian, former nuclear engineer (yes, really), and Microsoft 365 solution architect who somehow turned a left-brained résumé into a right-brained life. With nearly 30 years of experience across creative and technical fields, he’s the rare unicorn who can build you a custom app, voice your ad campaign, explain quantum decay, and smoke you some of the best ribs you’ve ever had - all before dinner.

By day, Chris solves problems with code, sound, and satire. By night, he designs gadgets, builds robots, and occasionally questions his own search history (“how to automate a smoker with an Arduino” may or may not be in his browser right now). He’s also a longtime performer and host, with a sharp wit, a deep voice, and a healthy skepticism of anything labeled “transformational.”

On Zen By Next Weekend, Chris brings his curious brain, big heart, and sideways sense of humor to conversations that explore the beautiful and complex nature of being human.
